Visiting A Hardware Factory
Today, I facilitated a visit for a client to a hardware factory located in Shenzhen. We drove there in a comfortable 5-seater car from Guangzhou.
This esteemed manufacturer specializes in producing high-quality hardware accessories for the luggages and handbag industry. Their extensive product portfolio includes connectors, frames, zipper pulls, and a variety of other components essential for the bag construction.

The client is the founder of an American handbag brand and is mainly looking for accessories for handbags, such as connectors, zipper pulls, etc.
Factory Situation
Led by the factory salesperson, we visited various departments of the factory. I serve as a private driver and translator, translating for guests throughout the process.
The factory is located in an old building with an area of about 2,000 square meters. There are more than 30 machines of various types. There are several large ceiling fans in the workshop, but no air conditioning. The workers are sweating profusely while working in relatively high temperatures.
According to the salesperson, this factory has been established for more than 20 years. The boss started out as a worker and gradually rose to management level. Finally, he bought the factory from his original employer and became the boss himself.
Their main products are metal accessories. They get orders for fashion accessories from luggage and handbag companies, design the product appearance, make the mold, use machines to stamp and finally beautify the product appearance through electroplating.
The boss said that their products are fashionable in design, keeping up with various trends, and their production quality is very good, which is very well received by customers. Therefore, they have always received a lot of orders and the factory’s production plans are very full.
After visiting the production workshop, we came to the factory’s exhibition hall. The exhibition hall is not large and luxurious. Ordinary cabinets are used to display samples of their products. Various metal accessories are neatly placed.
At the end of the trip, the guest was very satisfied with the factory, but it was a startup company, and many product orders did not meet the factory’s minimum order quantity. In the future, the purchase volume will be gradually increased, and we will strive for early cooperation!
